New Release: hale»studio v5.4.0

We have updated our open source ETL tool hale»studio to version 5.4.0!

The new hale»studio 5.4.0 release is a small release but it contains some important updates. All users should upgrade to the latest version to take advantage of these.

Features

The one new feature in this release is enhanced support for date fields in the Shapefile exporter. This makes it possible to write Shapefiles when the underlying schema contains data properties with other bindings than java.util.Date.

Fixes

In addition, several important fixes and improvements have made it into the release.

1. A problem with Join and Merge functions was fixed that could result in either a very bad transformation performance or even invalid transformation results.
2. An issue was fixed that could sometimes prevent data from being written to the output file when exporting the transformation results.
3. We have continued to update libraries and other dependencies used by hale»studio to fulfil its rich repertoire of tasks and functions.
